So yep, one day late posting and I still have a few pages to go. Not as much reading or photography in February as it was replaced with year-end paperwork. However, I do see light at the end of the tunnel.
My favorite read and cover for this month was Rooster Bar by John Grisham, even though I’m not quite sure yet, what the bokeh street lights on the book cover have to do with the story. It was not my favorite book by him but still an enjoyable read. Since it was a library book I had the benefit of someone who read it before me correcting a name on one page (in pencil). Today, I’ll go pick up Jane Harper’s new book The Lost Man, and my mom gifted me a signed copy of by Craig C Charles, The North Country Confessional. My mom and his mother are friends and I was intrigued by the cover. I added a little project and will be making a pinboard of books added to my “want to read” list.
I tried to read Mark Twain’s Book of Animals, but I just couldn’t get into it, same with a Joyce Myers book Beauty For Ashes. Myers book is just too much like others I’ve read of hers recently. I finally did take the time to read my Bible between Sundays. Yes, I know I should but I just don’t seem to make the time. I pray, and I listen to Christian radio but, and I’m telling on myself here, I let my actually Bible gather dust most weeks from Monday to Saturday. All the reading plans died a slow death. This week our church gave us a challenge and so far I’ve managed to make the time.
My husband just finished reading Dale Earnhardt Jr.s book Racing to The Finish and said it was mostly about concussions. My hubby has had way more than the average man but nothing like Earnhardt. I liked the subdued grayscale image for that cover.

I tend to like thrillers, law, mysteries or Christian based novels. I do not want to read books where they take the Lord’s name in vain, have a lot of graphic violence, about sports and I’m really not into non-fiction history.
If we like the same kind of books I’d love to hear your recommendations ~
