Barnes and Noble and Shutterfly have both been bought recently. Here’s to hoping some things stay the same or improve instead of the other way around.
I sell my books on B&N, and unlike Amazon, they have always kept the hardback and abridged paperback both available. Amazon happens to have “1 left in stock” of my hardback at a reduced price at the moment. When it has sold they’ll wait to buy more in bulk instead of keeping it in stock even though before they started that practice it was always in the top 100 in cat breeds.

Now Shutterfly, I use for my trip photobooks. I like photobooks to events that have a beginning and an end as opposed to family pics because I always find ones I want to add afterward. However, I did make a waterfall book of our first 25 years together, knowing full well I’d be making another someday. I have used them for printing smaller photos just for myself too and they are the company I buy my personal calendar from each year with the previous years photos because they remember all the dates, even if they don’t have the ability to put something say, the third Tuesday of each month on it. I liked Blurb photobooks too but both have little things that bug me.
I’m thinking I’m going to sell my collector travel shot glass collection and put up floating shelves to display my photobooks or my own photos instead. That is after I finish all the other projects and things I’ve got going. I’m contemplating selling my photographs as prints in addition to book covers. We’ll see. I’ll have to research it to death first.
