Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty is the only book I made time to read in October other than my NC magazines too. I liked the cover on this. After reading it, I’m not positive what the cover had to do with the book, but still, it was unique and interesting and what made me add it to my reading list. I’m not really sure what other cover photo would have worked better? The Australian author does have a different cover for the AU, UK and US title. I have not read Big Little Lies, or any other books by Moriarty. I liked reading something different from what I’ve been reading but don’t see me picking up another with the language in it, as there are too many other good books out there that don’t do that. Some new. Some old. All shadows.
The camera club went the night before to the Pixie Forest near Graybeard Overlook on the BRP. I didn’t make that trip, but we woke up to fog and had a day we could go goof together till about midday, so we headed that way. Continue reading
Last year I was hit with being disabling dizzy. It lasted several days I remember going with my hubby to Roan Mountain before it was completely gone.
This year it hit again in the evening with no warning. That night was bad, the entire next day was so bad I felt like I had to lay down and hang on to the bed. I couldn’t do much of anything. The next day was some better, followed by the next day where I went on a photo outing with a new friend, Karen, I met at the local camera club.

Oh my, I think I have too many tripods :O and that’s not even counting the little ones. Honey, if you’re reading this, yes I’ll be listing my 2 Mefotos soon and the glow in the dark Splat! 🙂 It took a bit to figure out what matters to me and what to look for in a tripod.
Watched and photographed the hummingbirds as their feeding (and feeder guarding) has increased. I guess even though it’s entirely too hot for they can feel the migration time nearing. I can NOT believe it somehow is October already. I haven’t touched our books since last year when I had to do all of 2018 at one time and vowed to do better this year. I have not, and now it’s time to get out and photograph my favorite season. That puts me right back to months of sitting at the computer doing all of our self-employment books, and getting things ready for taxes. #Ineverlearn
