We celebrated our boy’s 13th / 68th birthday with pics, and freeze-dried chicken treats. He is such a sweetheart and wants to share his love all the time.

It’s been two years
It has been two years since we lost our sweet Trinity. I still can not quit replaying that day in my mind. I would’ve hoped it would have gotten easier to remember just the good things. With all deaths, I’ve had a list of “should’ve, would’ve, could’ve” but not like her unexpected death. I won’t rehash what I’ve already said. I’ll just try to cherish each day I have with those I love and not constantly think that it may be the last time. Kinda weird you hardly ever never know when “the last time” is. Continue reading
Good gifts
The picture is of a gift my mom gave me at Christmas this year. You know if it’s a good gift when it tears you up. I know when she was on vacation… she thought of me. Some gifts are tangible. some are an experience, some are gifts of time, and some are gifts of withholding.

I saw a photo in Our State magazine of a river bend of the French Broad River.
I wanted to photograph it.
5 hours and probably 5 “u” shaped bends being found on GPS, we found the bend.
It’s on private property and no one called me back. Continue reading
Black and white, with shades of gray, plus sepia too
This is the last GYBS theme and regular meeting for the camera club this year. Here are the three I sent, all taken this year. I know I’ll enjoy the meeting tonight because the presenter is Kevin Adams!

Oh my, I think I have too many tripods :O and that’s not even counting the little ones. Honey, if you’re reading this, yes I’ll be listing my 2 Mefotos soon and the glow in the dark Splat! 🙂 It took a bit to figure out what matters to me and what to look for in a tripod.
Caves, 6 Falls, the early morning moon, an archer, doves, and dragonflies… makes for a hard choice for 29of52 #2019Project52 +finger update.
I’d been to Linville Caverns so long ago that no part of it look familiar or was tucked away in my memory. That may be a good thing because it mostly it was wet, cramped and the only thing I really heard was to watch our heads. We were with family so that made it all okay, just spending time with them. I took four photos but the only one I liked was the cobweb I saw while we were waiting. Continue reading
But I don’t like pink
I am behind on getting my post up here again but when I saw this post on social media, I wanted to get this one up. If I’d just stop taking photos for a while, like a month, maybe I’d get caught up.
Flowers + Fireworks = Flowerworks
Our neighbors blast fireworks starting the end of June and continue well past the 4th. I swear none of them have pets that are bothered by them, that or they don’t care! Continue reading
