Oh my, I think I have too many tripods :O and that’s not even counting the little ones. Honey, if you’re reading this, yes I’ll be listing my 2 Mefotos soon and the glow in the dark Splat! 🙂 It took a bit to figure out what matters to me and what to look for in a tripod.

I am behind on getting my post up here again but when I saw this post on social media, I  wanted to get this one up. If I’d just stop taking photos for a while, like a month, maybe I’d get caught up.

This week was the 12 year adoption anniversary of Tyler and Trinity.

Tyler Turns Twelve

Happy birthday bad boy, happy birthday bad boy,
happy birthday to you 

Bet you think that’s mean right? Well, Tyler is not a cat who will let you sleep. I decided since it was his birthday I’d try yet again to let him sleep on the bed. I haven’t slept in several nights so it was a bad idea. At 5:42AM he started playing the lingerie chest. What do I mean you ask? Well, the drawers have metal handles on a metal backplate, like a door knocker. He gets a hold of them with his paws and lets them drop back against the metal. It’s loud. Might be funny when you’re not trying to sleep. So, my first words to birthday boy in my semi-awake state where NO! Get out! but he’d already woke me enough to start the coughing. Got up. Shut him out. Got a few more hours of not restful sleep then gave him his favorite freeze-dried chicken treats on his breakfast. As I sip my coffee and type this he’s back snoozing away.

I received the postcard from the vet that it was time for Tyler’s annual.  I needed to get passed the anniversary of Trinity’s death following their last visit in February 2018.

New glasses are better than the old ones but they could be (much) better and Tyler has an appointment of his own.

I paid for premium progressives with maximum viewing area, Digimax® Ultra HD with NeverGlare Advantage poly transition, that came with Crizal no-glare —  in a cheap $29 frame and my glasses still cost $600 not counting the $94. eye exam sans picture of the back of my eyeballs.

a year has passed

We’ve had loss before, actually several years close together we lost family. I still cry about losing Trinity. I know what you’re probably thinking. She was “just” a cat and it’s been a whole year since her death.

Of course, I have happy moments and plenty to be grateful and thankful for. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband. I still have my mom and Tyler, wonderful aunts and uncles and friends, but my mind is just kind of come back to the shock, sadness and some regrets.

Night light

I now have Scorpions Big City Nights song stuck in my head. Even though WNC doesn’t have many big cities, and the theme was “night light” not, “bright lights.”

When I saw this theme I thought of a kids night light, Gods night lights with the stars and the moon, and lights at night from man-made objects. Even though I actively shot for this theme (at night) I just didn’t have enough time to go to the meeting this month. I am however making some slow progress on our businesses and personal paperwork and taxes. Hubby, I hope jokingly, threatened to take my cameras away until I got it done and highly suggested I do what I say I am going to do and actually keep up with the paperwork all year long instead of having a years worth in the first quarter.

Isn’t that a funny looking face? He just finished a yawn. I just love the nose crinkle!
