Find a walk near you. Sign up (limit 50 for each walk), mark your calendars and show up October 6th for Scott Kelby’s 11th WWPW http://worldwidephotowalk.com/locations/
This year will make the 5th walk I’ve led and the 13th I’ve been to now and I look forward to it every year.
It gives me a chance to meet and shoot with other photographers in the area (and sometimes way outside our area). I think it’s really cool to look after the walk is done as people all over the world share their photos all shot on the same day.

If they set it up like years past, I’m thinking the best place to gather at the start and end would be at the HCPRD office and we’ll do the group photo, walk then meet back up that way or at the amphitheatre if they’re not using it for something to chat after the walk. There are bathrooms and there is usually food vendors.
Farm City Day features both antique and modern farm equipment, music, square dancing, clogging, arts and crafts, children’s activities, games, demonstrations and plenty of food. Free family fun! Approximately 80 acres of Jackson Park will be used for urban, rural, and educational displays, antiques and modern farm equipment, and crafters from many generations… and lots of people watching.
Until last year you could sign up for more than one walk in your area as long as the walk wasn’t full and you were taking a spot from someone else that was only walking in one. I didn’t read anywhere that had changed but several walkers told me they could not sign up for more than one. Thankfully a few showed up to walk anyway even though not signing up, means they can only enter the contest on the walk they did sign up for or share on our walks just for fun Flickr page
Now, if you registered to walk you can enter their contest.
You enter on Kelby’s World Wide Photo Walk page on the walk you registered for. Here is the link to mine http://worldwidephotowalk.com/walk/farm-city-day-in-hendersonville-nc/ Details can be found on their site under FAQ
Regardless if you registered to walk or not, but you did walk at Jackson Park, Farm City Day in Hendersonville NC please feel free to share your pics on just for fun Flickr page You do have to be invited to post, so please make sure I have your email or contact me on Flickr saying you want on that group! FYI you are not entering Kelby’s contest by sharing on the Flickr group page.
Just a hint on their t-shirts – they run SMALL. The one I got is a size larger than last year and I’ll have to stretch the heck out of it to be able to wear it once before it’s washed.
Here is one question I get asked so I borrowed the answer from Kelby’s FAQ page.
Is it free?
It is free to participate! However, some walks may take place at a place that requires an admission fee (like a zoo or other attraction). Also, we are walking with a purpose of helping support the Springs of Hope Orphanage in Kenya so we are hoping you will find it in your heart to donate when you sign up for your walk. 100% of your donation goes directly to the orphanage and makes a huge difference to the amazing youth at the Springs of Hope Orphanage.
